I discuss two areas where measurements with MIPS combined with those with the other Spitzer instruments are starting to open up new perspectives. First, I discuss evidence that some planetary debris disks are dominated photometrically by the dust grains produced in recent, large events rather than from grains produced in a pseudo-continuous collisional grinding over the life of the system. Second, I give some examples of ways that Spitzer data are revealing new populations of obscured active galactic nuclei in deep X-ray survey fields.
