We propose to carry out targeted observations using the MOPRA telescope towards 6.7 GHz methanol masers discovered in the Arecibo Galactic Plane Methanol Maser Survey to determine the physical conditions around 6.7 GHz methanol masers. In particular, we will target the thermal methanol lines around 96 GHz and other tracers of dense gas such as N2H+, HNC and CH3CN. This data will be combined with the complimentary 241 GHz methanol data obtained using the APEX telescope to determine the density, temperature and methanol abundance in the sources, which in turn can be used to compare observations with theoretical models of the masers.
