Equation (9) describing the light curve normalization was given incorrectly. It should read: lλ(φ)=(fsλ(φ)+frλ(φ)+f1λ(φ)+f2λ(φ))/(fsλ(φn)+frλ(φn)+f1λ(φn)+f2λ(φn)), (9)where a normalization phase of φn=0.2 was adopted to represent the out-of-eclipse light level. The results presented in the paper are not affected, as all computations were made using this correct formulation of equation (9).
We also note that the expressions for the radiative flux from the disk, and from the primary and secondary stars (eqs. [3]-[8]), imply that the specific intensity of the radiating surfaces can be approximated by the Planck function multiplied by a linear limb-darkening law. However, the Planck function does not represent the specific intensity normal to the radiating surface, as assumed, but rather the specific intensity integrated over all emergent angles. The fluxes can be approximately corrected by dividing the relevant expressions by the factor 1-μλ/3 that results when the linear limb-darkening law is integrated over 2π steradians. However, as can be seen from equation (9) above, the omission of this term did not affect our results significantly, since the factors of 1-μλ/3 (which are similar for all sources of light in the system) effectively cancel in the computation of the model light curves.
