The photoelectric photometry and polarimetry of comet Shoemaker-Levy 1991a1 was conducted with the 1 m telescope at Sanglok Observatory, Tadjikistan during 27 May-2 August 1992. Estimates of production rates for species C3 and C2 and dust particles have been made. We find that abundances of observed species are typical of most comets previously observed. The polarization at phase angles 60 deg-70 deg is somewhat smaller than the polarization of dusty comets at the same phase angles.
