Three epochs of HALCA and VLBA observations of compact radio source PKS 1413+135 are presented. We have resolved the compact jet into a series of components. Comparing the two epochs of images at 4.97 GHz, our interpretation of the data indicates the inner components are moving at higher velocities than the outer components. The three epoch space VLBI images are combined combined with 3 epochs of ground-only observations at 15 GHz. We interpret the data in terms of two models, 1) where the jet is decelerated by interaction with the medium surrounding the quasar core and 2) where the jet is oriented along the line of sight near the core, but bends away from the line of sight at a distance 10 milli-arcseconds from the core (24 parsecs at z=0.247).
