We observed comet 19P/Borrelly, a target for NASA's Deep Space 1 space mission during July 27 - August 1, 2000 at the CTIO-1.5m telescope. We obtained a rotational lightcurve in R and derived a period of 26 hours assuming a double peaked lightcurve. The observed mean magnitude is consistent with an effective radius of 2.5km for the nucleus. Detailed results from our photometric study of 19P/Borrelly will be presented at the meeting. This work was supported by a grant from the NASA Planetary Astronomy Program.
