We investigate ram pressure stripping of spiral galaxies in rich clusters over a wide range of galaxy masses, as well as orientation of the galaxy relative to its velocity vector. Our main conclusion is that ram pressure stripping is in general a less effective process at removing the ISM from galaxies than may have previously been thought. We find that even galaxies in extreme stripping environments such as Coma are able to retain significant amounts of gas if the initial mass of the ISM is large enough.
