This panel session will focus on the actual role of scientists in all aspects of science policy, from the appropriations process, to authorization, to grassroots efforts to regulatory issues. Special attention will be given to the current policy situation and outlook and how scientists can play a positive role. Ample time will be available for questions from the audience.
