We present results from new, simultaneous Chandra/HETG and RXTE
observations of Mkn 509, NGC 4593, and F9. The data are used to diagnose
the physics of the photoionized absorbers and the complex Fe-K lines.
These new results are compared with results from high-resolution X-ray
spectroscopy of other type 1 AGN.
