The problem of studying the sun when it is considered to be a star among
other stars is examined. Consideration is given to the magnetic fields
and chromospheres of the sun and stars, and to the rotation and
oscillations of the sun. The question of the correctness of current
ideas about the internal structure of the sun and stars is discussed.
