Attention is drawn to a possible outburst object of magnitude six noted by Hertzsprung on a photograph taken in 1900. Observations define a duration of at least 45 m but less than one day. Further observations are needed to verify that the observed feature is of astronomical origin. A second object of fifth magnitude was pointed out by Popovic on a photograph with three exposures taken in 1911. The X-ray source XRS 00549-015 and quasi-stellar object 3C 29 lie in the field.
