The gravitational drag for a massive object moving in the nearly collisiondess fluid made by magnetic monopoles is examined. It is shown that for a known binary system in our Galaxy associated with pulsar PSR 1913+16, a monopole number density larger than the expected solar value of 10 to the -7th/cu cm may induce an energy loss comparable or even larger than the one due to the gravitational radiation of the system. It is concluded that this drag mechanism may be a relevant test for detecting indirectly the presence of a collisionless cloud in a binary system and it may be used to infer some limits on the magnetic monopole density near the sun.
