The profiles of emission lines in the Seyfert galaxy NGC 3783 are analyzed and the results are compared with those found by Pelat, Alloin, and Fosbury (1981) on the basis of spectra obtained in 1976-1977. A new H-alpha emission feature is detected at a blueshift of 1630 km/s relative to the systemic velocity. No evidence is found for forbidden line components associated with this blueshifted H-alpha component, and it is concluded that this component must originate in a region of relatively high density.
