Observations of the galaxy correlation functions have shown a simple pattern of higher order correlations, with the threeand four-point functions given in terms of two-point functions. The dimensionless reduced parameters q, a, b are used in these relations. The observed values of these parameters can be used to distinguish between possible models or clustering. It is, therefore, important to determine these numbers as well as possible. Bonometto and Lucchin (1980) have proposed a new method for determining a, b, from the dispersion in estimates of the two-point function, which has been applied to the Zwicky catalog. In the present investigation, this method is applied to the high-resolution Lick galaxy count catalog provided by Shane and Wirtanen (1967). However, in connection with the small cells in this catalog, a slight modification regarding the original method is required. Values for the four-point function fit parameters and the four-point function reduced amplitudes are presented.
