At UVa we regularly offer 5 courses beyond our standard two semester intro sequence targeted toward non-science majors. We have more than 20 years experience with most of these. Many of the goals of these courses are similar to those most of us have for Astro 101, e.g., critical thinking. On the other hand, we can do other things like catering to the astronomy enthusiast and working with writing skills. I will briefly describe these courses and our evolving philosophy of astronomy general education.
