Using the STF method and the j-K coupling scheme the authors calculate the oscillator strengths for some Ne I lines of primary astrophysical interest, comparing them with other values given in the literature. The values appear systematically a little greater (mean difference ≅ +0.12) than those of other sources. The Ne abundance in B stars is then discussed in the light of these results.
