The BIMA Survey of Nearby Galaxies (SONG) comprises moderate-resolution ( 6") observations of the CO (1-0) emission in 44 spirals selected primarily by systemic velocity and optical brightness (Regan et al. 2001). We present the statistical properties of the full sample, including a discussion of scale lengths and gas distributions. Posters by Teuben et al., Das et al., and Fraga et al. further highlight the breadth of information available in the BIMA SONG survey. This work is partially supported by NSF AST 9981289.
