We present the analysis of optical and infrared images in V,R,I,H,J,K and Hα filters of IRAS 02290+2533 taken at the 1.5m telescope at San Pedro Mártir, Baja California, México. We also present a 21cm spectrum taken at Arecibo Observatory. The observations indicate that this is a triple system of galaxies in an early stage of interaction. The J,H, and K filter images suggest that only one is responsible for the IR excess, Lfir = 4.3 x 1011 L&sun; . The total HI mass of the system is MHI= 2.3x1010 M&sun; . We discuss the morphologies and the photometry for these galaxies obtained from the images. This data and the HI observations are used to conclude that in this triple system of galaxies there are only two in interaction, and we identify which galaxy is the superluminous in the infrared.
