Models that explain the presence of metals in the intra-cluster medium (ICM) remain controversial. The abundance of intermediate elements like S, Si, Ar, Ca and Ni can be used to determine the ratio between metals produced by type I and type II supernovae and help constrain models that explain the presence of metals in the ICM. We present results from an analysis of over 300 galaxy clusters in the archives of the ASCA X-ray telescope. In the past, determination of the abundance of the intermediate elements has been hampered by low signal to noise in the metal lines from individual observations. We divide the ASCA clusters into several groups of about 20 members based upon their temperature and iron abundance, and jointly fit the X-ray spectra to obtain the intermediate element abundances.
