Laboratory polarimetric investigation of meteoritic samples has shown
that powder and rock surfaces of C3 type carbonaceous chondrites have
similar polarization curves at small phase angles. This is an indication
that negative light polarization cannot serve as a proof of dust
presence on the surface of an atmosphereless cosmic body.
