A new index is proposed to characterize the activity of the processes in
the Jovian atmosphere. For the time period 1953 through 1983 the 12-year
period variations of this index was found. One can assume the variations
of reflectivity of the features of the Jovian disk to be caused by
seasonal changes in the planet's atmosphere.
