We present the deep spectral fields in the STIS Parallel Survey (SPS). We select from the archive those fields that have spectral exposure times of at least 3000 seconds, image exposure times of at least 500 seconds and galactic latitude |b|>30. This sample contains 290 fields (excluding special regions) observed between 6 June 1997 and 21 September 2000, with a total survey area of 210 square arcminutes. At this depth the SPS detects an average of one emission line galaxy per three fields. We present an analysis of the intermediate redshift sample of galaxies, as detected by optical emission lines. We discuss the completeness of the SPS and the density of inferred star formation from the [OII] and Balmer line emitters.
