The effect of maintaining the sense of circular polarization of radio emission from solar noise storms while passing through the heliospheric current sheet, which was found by Stewart in 1985, 1987, is interpreted. This effect follows from the theory of propagation and mode coupling in the region with a zero magnetic field. It is shown, that under specific conditions of the upper corona there is practically no coupling for meter wavelengths: radio emission propagates within the framework of geometric-optical approximation which maintains the hardness of radio emission while passing through the zero-field region.
