The manifestation of flare activity in the field of photospheric velocities of the active region on Sept. 2-8, 1961 has been studied. Radial velocities were observed using the Fe I 525.0 A line with the magnetograph of the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory. It has been shown that the flares appear mainly on the zero line of radial velocities. Here plasma rotates in the same direction as the adjacent large sunspot. The flare appearance in the sunspot itself is accompanied by an increase of the plasma ascent velocity.
