It is pointed out that the albedo, and consequently, the diameter of an asteroid may be determined accurately enough by means of an empirical equation which contains the albedo and two characteristics of the polarization degree P dependence on phase angle alpha. The first characteristic is the minimum value of the function P(alpha), the second one is the location of the inversion point. The equation allows the diameters of asteroids observed only at alpha less than or equal to alpha(0) to be determined.
