Studies of interacting binaries are reviewed, discussing the types of interacting binaries, models describing them, and their evolution. In addition, IUE UV observations, the study of X-ray binaries, observation of radioemission from binaries, and IRAS observations are examined. Problems in the study of interacting binaries are presented and topics for future research are recommended.
