Circulation-preserving (CP) and complex-lamellar (CL) motion in a steady incompressible nondissipative MHD flow subjected to a magnetic field of fixed direction is investigated analytically, applying the differential-geometry results of Marris and Passman (1969). The conditions for CP motion are obtained, and it is shown that the Lamb surfaces for CP and CL motion are developables if and only if the vorticity along the streamlines has a constant magnitude.
