We present spectroscopic observations for the two BL Lac objects 1749+096 and 2254+074 with previously unknown redshifts. Spectra of 1749+096 taken during a faint state yield an emission line redshift of Zem = 0.32. For 2254+074, we find equal redshifts for emission and absorption lines of z = 0.19. Direct imaging data show that 2254+074 is extended; the radial brightness profile, however, can not be well fitted by either elliptical or spiral galaxy brightness distributions. 1749+096 is only marginally resolved.
