The radioactive beam facility at Louvain-la-Neuve is dedicated to a large extend to nuclear reaction studies of astrophysical interest. Since becoming fully operational in 1991, several key reactions in the hot CNO cycles were investigated experimentally: 13N(p,γ)14O the onset of the hot CNO cycles, 19Ne(p,γ)20Na the escape to the rp process and others. These reactions have to be studied close to the astrophysically relevant energies (temperatures) to allow a meaningful extrapolation into the energy region of the Gamow window. The talk will summarize the results obtained with radioactive beams so far. A few experimental details are discussed and an outlook into future experiments is given. Finally, implications of the results for astrophysical scenarios are presented.
