Two new spectrograph-telescope systems for measuring radial velocities are described. One makes use of absorption lines in the spectra of galaxies (principally Ca H and K lines) for simultaneous measurements of radial velocities of each angular resolution element 2 arc sec in diameter in a 4 x 11 arc min area of sky imaged by a 228 cm telescope and containing a group or cluster of galaxies. Polarimetric methods for measuring radial velocities are discussed. Radial velocities of solar-type stars are measured to within + or - 5 m/sec with the other instrument. This level of precision encourages searches for circumstellar planetary systems.
