The H II region W3 has been mapped at 5 GHz with 2-arcsec resolution
using the Cambridge 5-km telescope. Several new faint sources have been
detected. Analysis of the shell source W3(A) shows it to be excited by
two highly obscured O-stars and to be strongly ionization-bounded.
