The analysis deals with spectral observations of artificial aurora ray produced in the Zarnitsa-2 ionospheric electron injection experiment. The established relationships of the principal emissions observed (3914, 4278, 4709, 5577 A) are used to calculate the coefficient of electron beam energy conversion to optical radiation. A comparison of the values of this coefficient from the Zarnitsa 1 and 2 experiments showed a tendency of the coefficient to increase with increasing energy of the injected electrons.
