Scientific paper

The optical positions of 63 objects (24 galaxies and 39 quasars) have measured on the Palomar Sky Survey prints with an rms error of 0.5-0.6 arcsec, using Schlesinger's (1926) method. These positions are compared with accurate radio positions, including 38 previously unpublished positions measured with an interferometer. There are 42 new or confirmed identifications and 21 empty fields (including revoked identifications).
