An analysis is conducted to derive the momentum and energy equations of the ground magnetic fields for the primary types of matter motion in active flare regions. The analysis is based on the techniques by Kuperus and Raadu (1974), and prominences of EUV loops and X-ray loops are the main current circuits in the active regions. Current circuits and the ground magnetic field are assumed to be the contributors to the magnetic field in the active region, and the matter motions of the region are held to dictate the evolution of the magnetic field and the current. The physical processes of flares in the active regions are characterized in the analysis emphasizing the key contributions of matter motions and current-circuit evolution. Of particular interest are the momentum/energy equations that describe the evolution of the currents.
