A survey of 262 galactic radio sources has been made with the Effelsberg 100-m telescope of the H110-alpha hydrogen recombination line at 4874 GHz and of the formaldehyde absorption line at 4830 GHz. The survey includes all the continuum sources between l 0 and 60 deg, l plus or minus 1 deg, which have peak flux densities greater than 1 Jy. H110-alpha recombination lines were detected toward 171 sources, and 388 absorption lines were seen in formaldehyde. As in previous studies, there is an increase in LTE electron temperature, with distance from the galactic center, over the range 4-9 kpc from the galactic center. In the galactic center region, the LTE electron temperature is substantially higher than the value extrapolated from the sources at 4-9 kpc.
