49 medium resolution spectrograms of the T Tauri star DR Tauri have been obtained. These spectrograms show very strong time variations of the line profiles of the Balmer lines and the Na I D lines as well as less pronounced variations of other spectral features. The timescale of the observed variations is in the order of days or weeks. The Balmer line profiles and the Na D lines both indicate the presence of strongly nonstationary mass outflow as well as nonstationary mass inflow in the envelope of DR Tauri. Various suggestions to interpret the observations are discussed.
