A method is given, based on the recently developed mathematical
discipline of semidefinite programming, to calculate the apparent orbit
of a double star. The method allows for outliers in the data and
calculates mean errors for the derived quantities. An orbit, based on
128 observations, for the double star 24 Aquarii is calculated.
