Equation (1) defining the Rayleigh statistic is wrong. The correct equation is:Z21=2/N[Σjcosφ(tj)]2+[Σjsinφ(tj)]2. (1)This mistake was not made during the analysis of the data, so it does not affect any of the results of the original paper.
