Close Binaries: Stellar Rotation
Scientific paper
The author estimates ages of the detached systems in paper (III), calculates characteristic times of synchronization for each "normal" component in the binaries. He compares the age of each component and its theoretical characteristic times of synchronization, analyzes the synchronization property of each star. He concludes that dynamical tide is one of the most effective synchronization mechanisms for the early-type components in close binary systems.
