Atomic oxygen profiles are derived that correspond to different emissions from an observational campaign regarding nightglow, and the results are used to evaluate the photochemical mechanism used to explain the phenomena. The photochemical mechanisms described by Lopez-Gonzalez et al. (1992) are shown to be consistent for O2 emissions and the green line emission.
