Results are presented of an intensive study of Mars during its 1990-1991 opposition, which was carried out in central New Mexico with a 25.4 cm reflecting telescope at an altitude of 7200 ft. The results include descriptions of visible Martian features, data on estimated intensities of Martian features, photometric measurements made in mid-1991, results of visual and micrometric measurements of the size of Martian polar caps, and descriptions of meteorological phenomena observed on Mars.
