Twenty-eight dense cores in CO J = 1 greater than 0 or 2 greater than 1 emission have been surveyed. Line wings were observed in 11 of these cores, including four previously known outflows. In particular, wing emission in TMC 1A and L1174 has been detected which were not seen in previous surveys with poorer sensitivity. The detection rate in cores with infrared sources was clearly higher (nine or 10 out of 17) than for cores without sources (two or three out of 12). From comparisons of our data with previous C(0-18) observations. It is found that the wider lines often observed in dense cores with infrared sources cannot be entirely explained by a core-outflow interaction.
