Results are presented of molecular opacity calculations for both a solar mixture and a mixture with a three times enhanced CNO abundance relative to the solar value. It is found that the Rosseland mean opacities are significantly increased at predominantly two temperatures in the regions of 3000 and 6000 K, with smaller effects at other temperatures. CNO enhancements of this order are expected in the accretion disks of cataclysmic binaries due to the nova eruption of the white dwarf, and it is possible that such changes in opacities could have an important effect on the behavior of the cooler parts of accretion disks. These results are also important in the field of stellar atmospheres in general. It is shown, as examples, which molecular are likely to be important opacity sources at two representative temperatures.
