Radio Telescopes: Site Testing

Scientific paper

The authors have carried out a series of measurements at 8 Karst depressions in Guizhou Province, and one more site at the Urumqi Astronomical Station in Xinjiang autonomous region, to check on their suitability, from the point of view of interference, for the construction of a low frequency large telescope. The results in Guizhou look quite promising, with relatively little interference found in the region 220 - 920 MHz.
