514 photoelectric observations of the eclipsing binary AM Leonis = BD+10 2234 = ADS 8024 A were secured with a photomultiplier Du Mont 6291 at the Astronomical Observatory Trieste during the period Feb.-May 1957 and May 1959. A way is explained in order to determine and remove from the measurements the unknown brightness of the visual companion inclosed in the observations. The sysem reveals itself as composed by two greatly distorted stars, which fill very probably the volume contained in the Roche critical equipotential surface corresponding to their mass-ratio. By analyzing the light-curve with the Russell-Merrill method, the following elements were derived: k = 0.66, a_g = 0.50, a_s = 0.33, b_g = 0.44, b_s = 0.29, i = 84.9 deg, L_g = 0.66, L_s = 0.34, the eclipses are total and the primary minimum corresponds to an occultation.
