It is shown that a reliable individual estimate of the virial mass of a triplet of galaxies cannot be made, because the scatter due to the nonstationarity of the group and projection effects reaches about 1.5 orders of magnitude. A method of simulated catalogs is proposed which makes possible an estimate of hidden mass in the triplet volume. The proposed method is confirmed by an analysis of a sample of 46 probably physically connected galaxy triplets from the listing of Karachentsev et al.
