A new numerical code has been developed for investigating the radiative hydrodynamics of protostar formation. This paper describes recent results of two ongoing projects considering the formation of the solar nebula: (1) the determination of initial conditions leading to single protostellar objects and (2) the calculation of physical conditions in the nebula formed by collapse of a solar mass onto the protostellar core.
