The author verified that the first year of King Yi of the West Zhou was 899 BC based on the eclipse hypothesis of Double Dawn. Xia-Shang-Zhou chronology project adopted this conclusion as one of the 7 key points of West Zhou chronology. D. J. Keenan fully call this work in question. Facing the arguments the notes discussed the reliability of the original literature, the method to express and compute the visual sky brightness, the secular parameter of the Earth's rotation, and other problems. The author considers that Keenan's query is groundless.
