Loran-C, Time Of Coincidence, Synchronization

The principle of independent TOC (Time of Coincidence) synchronization over Loran-C is studied in this paper. The essential requirement for TOC synchronization is analyzed according to the characteristic of TOC. The concept of TOC Message is defined, and a new message type and its corresponding communication protocols are presented. The time relationships between GRI pulse sequences and reference pulses, as well as between modulation codes and Loran-C pulse groups are analyzed. Finally, for the mode of continuous transmission, the principle and method of TOC synchronization are studied.
