Closely spaced images indicative of gravitational lensing was searched for among a sample of 101 apparently and intrinsically luminous quasars by means of the CFHT image stabilizing camera HRCam. No conclusive evidence of multiple imaging due to lensing was found. For the sample under consideration, which is mostly composed of quasars with m less than 18.5, the amplification bias is at least about 10, and, due to the superior resolution of HRCam, very few potential lenses will be lost. Even so, only about one detectable lens is expected in this sample for cosmological models which do not have a large cosmological constant, if recent predictions are correct. The present conclusion that there are no lenses in this sample is not statistically different from that, but, together with other null detections, e.g., Bahcall et al. (1992), it does imply that cosmologies dominated by a cosmological constant are unlikely. No significant excess of galaxies around quasars is found.
